Hello, my name is Scott. I'm a 39 year-old student at Montana State University and the University of South Florida. Currently go to school full-time, but I also volunteer as an anti-extremism consultant due to my past of associating with the far right.
I'm a former student at Polk State College in Lakeland, Florida and Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell, Montana. My majors are Infection Control & Public Health.
I have certification in wilderness first aid, adult CPR, anaphylaxis and AED.

I was born in Flint, Michigan... but lived most of my life in Central Florida. 6 of my last 7 years were spent in Montana in both the Kalispell|Whitefish|Columbia Falls area (5 years) and the Bozeman area (1 year).
Basically.. I'm from Michigan and live in Florida once again, but my heart is in Montana.

I'm a heathen... an Odinist. I live by the 9 Noble Virtues, and the Havamal... and I love the Eddas and Sagas. While I don't personally follow Buddhism, I do also take inputs from it.
I live a mostly primal lifestyle. I do my best to not eat much sugar. Being a student living in dorms makes that a little more difficult, as I have no kitchen. But I do my best.
I love raw honey, kombucha, almond milk, goat milk, tea, and anything organic. I believe in sustainability, permaculture and beekeeping. I also practice various forms of meditation, reiki, tantra and yoga.
I blend my own essential oils to make beard, hair and massage oils.
I enjoy treehugging endeavors. I hike... or at the very least walk as often as I can. I spend a lot of time out in nature. Swimming, in pools and lakes, are a particular enjoyment. I also spend quite a bit of time at the gym, either on campus... or off.
I very much enjoy the national parks, national forests and state parks in Montana. I have spent a lot of time in and around Glacier National Park and the Flathead National Forest.
I am a gun owner, and carrier. I have a Florida concealed carry permit, but I usually just open carry (when in Montana). I enjoy going shooting as often as I can, and consider myself an activist for campus carry, as well as LGBT carry. I am a supporter of the Pink Pistols, Students for Campus Carry and MSSA.
Some other forms of activism I am either involved with, or in the process of getting involved with; are self-sufficiency, student health, LGBT rights, trans rights, marijuana legalization, mental health support, sexual violence prevention, autism awareness, obesity awareness.

I am a total nerd... well, maybe more of a geek... a little bit of dork added to taste. I read science fiction and fantasy the most. I enjoy tabletop roleplaying games, card games, renaissance festivals, video games and anime.
Just because I can, I study anthropology, biology, and linguistics. I love European history and culture.
